**Answer:** Grief after a death or loss can bring shock, sadness, anger, guilt and exhaustion, and there is no right way or timetable. Talking to friends, family, faith leaders or a counsellor can help. Seek professional support if grief stays intense for a long time, stops you functioning day to day, or you start relying on alcohol or drugs to cope. If you have thoughts of ending your life, seek help now. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 999 or 112, or Kenya Red Cross on 1199. Befrienders Kenya offers free, confidential support on +254 722 178177.
