**Answer:** Check each remittance advice promptly. Under the SHA contract, unless you raise a payment dispute within 14 days of receiving the remittance advice, that payment is treated as full and final for the listed claims, and late disputes are deemed waived, with no right to bill the patient. If you find an overpayment, you must report and return it within seven days with written reasons; on SHA's written demand, repayment is due within 30 days. Reconcile remittances to claims monthly against SHA's reconciliation statement.
