# What is the DASH or QuickDASH questionnaire?

**Answer:** DASH and QuickDASH are patient-reported questionnaires that measure symptoms and difficulty with upper-limb activities involving the arm, shoulder or hand. QuickDASH is a shorter version, and optional modules can cover work, sport and performing arts. Scores should be interpreted using the official version, alongside clinical findings and the patient's goals. They measure reported disability and symptoms; they do not identify a diagnosis or replace examination.
