**Answer:** SHA pays empanelled and contracted providers and facilities; it empanels licensed and certified providers submitted by their accreditation bodies. The 2024 published tariffs include a mental wellness package covering counselling, screening and management, with outpatient visits at KES 1,200 per visit up to seven visits, inpatient per-diem rates by facility level, and pre-authorised rehabilitation for substance use. Tariffs are now set by regulations as amended, so check the current schedule and your contract.
